What does Module Magento_InventoryConfigurableProduct do?

0

Magento_InventoryConfigurableProduct

The above is a small mischievous module found in Magento 2.3.

It has a plugin, IsSalableOptionSelectBuilder that removes options for out-of-stock configurable products. (Note, Module: Magento_ConfigurableProduct has a similar class that does the same thing)

I'm not sure what it's other plugin StockStatusBaseSelectProcessor does though. Any ideas?

TLDR; I'm trying to show grey-out options for out of stock configurable products, I'm almost there. Just wondering what would happen if I disable this module.

This is the code it's running that i'm not sure about:

/**
* Add stock item filter to selects.
*/
class StockStatusBaseSelectProcessor implements BaseSelectProcessorInterface
{
/**
* @var StockIndexTableNameResolverInterface
*/
private $stockIndexTableNameResolver;

/**
* @var StockConfigurationInterface
*/
private $stockConfig;

/**
* @var StoreManagerInterface
*/
private $storeManager;

/**
* @var StockResolverInterface
*/
private $stockResolver;

/**
* @param StockIndexTableNameResolverInterface $stockIndexTableNameResolver
* @param StockConfigurationInterface $stockConfig
* @param StoreManagerInterface $storeManager
* @param StockResolverInterface $stockResolver
*/
public function __construct(
StockIndexTableNameResolverInterface $stockIndexTableNameResolver,
StockConfigurationInterface $stockConfig,
StoreManagerInterface $storeManager,
StockResolverInterface $stockResolver
) {
$this->stockIndexTableNameResolver = $stockIndexTableNameResolver;
$this->stockConfig = $stockConfig;
$this->storeManager = $storeManager;
$this->stockResolver = $stockResolver;
}

/**
* @param Select $select
* @return Select
*/
public function process(Select $select)
{
if (!$this->stockConfig->isShowOutOfStock()) {
$websiteCode = $this->storeManager->getWebsite()->getCode();
$stock = $this->stockResolver->execute(SalesChannelInterface::TYPE_WEBSITE, $websiteCode);
$stockId = (int)$stock->getStockId();

$stockTable = $this->stockIndexTableNameResolver->execute($stockId);

/** @var Select $select */
$select->join(
['stock' => $stockTable],
sprintf('stock.sku = %s.sku', BaseSelectProcessorInterface::PRODUCT_TABLE_ALIAS),

)->where('stock.is_salable = ?', 1);
}

return $select;
}
}
