Ófehértó situas sur ebenaĵo, laŭ fervojo Vásárosnamény–Nyíregyháza. Baktalórántháza kaj Nyírbátor troviĝas po 6, Nyíregyháza 25 km.

Dum la historio la vilaĝo havis ankaŭ la loknomojn Ó-Fehértó, Fejértó, Nyírfejértó. La unua mencio pri la komunumo devenis el 1220. Ekde 1326 la kampoj apartenis al historia dinastio Báthory. En 1549 vivis tie ĉirkaŭ 300 homoj inkluzive kun 27 domejoj, 25 servutuloj, 61 impostpagantoj. Dum dominado de turkoj la vilaĝo senhomiĝis sed baldaŭe ĝi rehomiĝis helpe de diversaj bienuloj. Laŭ geografia priskribo [1]: "FEJÉRTÓ, (Új Fejértó) estas hungara vilaĝo en departemento Szabolcs. Bienulo estas grafo Aspermont. La loĝantoj estas katolikoj kaj kalvinanoj. Ĝi situas duonmejlon al Kálló. La kampoj estas riĉaj, bonkvalitaj, tial ĝi apartenas al la unua klaso." En 1900 meteorito falis apud la vilaĝon.

Asking this for a more realistic view for ''rising of the shield hero' and possible uses in future writings. A shield is not a weapon, it is basically armor, that's why heavy armored knights rarely used shield and that's why hoplites didn't wear armor on their torso and upper legs, because the shield was just enough to cover almost the entire body. When compared to body armor shields have advantages and also disadvantages, they are usually too heavy to be held on one arm by the average unfit person and soldiers were trained for tactics on how to kill and how to stay alive, not for strength but this had the advantages of lower cost when compared to armor and the ability to be moved around. theoretically i know about Mage::getSingleton() & differences b/w Mage::getSingleton() and Mage::getModel() but my question is that in my custom module when to use Mage::getSingleton() {Normally i used Mage::getModel() on lots of places}. Please let me understand with example(if possible, please share a small custom modules having Mage::getSingleton() ).
