Magento 2.2.7 SalesOrderAfterPlaceObserver not found Amasty error when creating order

Preconditions (*)
- Magento 2.2.7
- Using MAMP Pro
- PHP 7.0.22 being used
Steps to reproduce (*)
- Go to Admin --> Sales --> Orders -- > Create New Order
- Add a product, shipping/billing address.
Expected result (*)
- Order should successfully complete without errors.
Actual result (*)
- After submitting the order I get a PHP 500 error, and after reviewing the MAMP logs it seems to be something related to an observer.
- Order isn't created.
